EcoFlow UK
EcoFlow is one of the biggest names in portable power, and for good reason. Founded in 2017 by former DJI engineers, the company built its reputation on fast-charging technology and a product range that runs from compact travel units to whole-home backup systems.
Their UK lineup centres on two product families: the RIVER series for lighter, portable use and the DELTA series for higher-capacity applications including home backup and off-grid living. All current models use LiFePO4 battery chemistry — a significant upgrade from the NMC cells in earlier generations.

What EcoFlow does well
EcoFlow’s standout feature remains charging speed. Their X-Stream technology delivers 0–80% charges in under an hour across the DELTA range — genuinely useful if you’re topping up between activities or preparing for a power cut at short notice.
Build quality is consistently high. The industrial design across the current range is clean and functional, with clear displays, well-spaced ports and solid construction. The EcoFlow app provides decent remote monitoring and firmware updates, though it’s not essential for day-to-day use.
Their product segmentation is also well thought out. Unlike brands that offer dozens of overlapping models, EcoFlow’s UK range is relatively focused: you can usually work out which unit fits your needs without getting lost in minor spec variations.
Where to be cautious
EcoFlow units tend to sit at the higher end of each capacity bracket. You’re paying a premium for the charging speed and build quality, which may not be justified if fast charging isn’t a priority for your use case.
Product naming can be confusing. The DELTA 3 lineup now includes the DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus and DELTA 3 Classic — three distinct products at different price points and specs. Make sure you’re comparing the right model.
Expandability varies. Some models accept expansion batteries; others (like the DELTA 3 Classic) do not. If future expansion matters, check the specific model’s compatibility before buying.
