What Anker does well
Brand trust is Anker’s biggest asset. Years of producing reliable charging accessories have given the company a reputation for build quality and after-sales support that transfers directly to its power station range. UK buyers who already own Anker chargers or power banks often gravitate to SOLIX units for that reason.
The SOLIX range offers competitive specifications at aggressive price points. The SOLIX C1000 Gen 2, for example, delivers 1,024 Wh of LiFePO4 capacity with 2,000 W continuous output and a 3,000 W surge rating — strong numbers that compare favourably with similarly-priced units from EcoFlow and Jackery.
Anker’s ecosystem also extends beyond power stations. The brand’s power banks remain some of the best-reviewed portable chargers in the UK, and the integration between Anker’s smaller and larger products is a practical advantage for buyers already invested in the ecosystem.
Where to be cautious
Anker is a relative newcomer to the portable power station market compared to EcoFlow and Jackery. The SOLIX range is still maturing, and the UK-available lineup is narrower than what’s offered by more established competitors.
Product naming requires attention. The original Anker SOLIX C1000 has been superseded by the SOLIX C1000 Gen 2, which is a meaningfully different product with improved specs and updated internals. The original C1000 is discontinued and should not be considered a current recommendation — make sure any listing or review you’re reading refers to the Gen 2 version.
Expandability options are more limited than BLUETTI’s range. If scaling capacity over time is a priority, compare Anker’s expansion ecosystem against competitors before committing.
